Greatly improved uniformity of the standard green artichoke. Plants are a little shorter and more productive with a higher percentage of the chokes being marketable.

If you let the flower buds stand, they bloom into huge, beautiful flowers that can be used in fresh or dried bouquets.

The flower buds are otherwise harvested before they bloom and are good to cook and eat.

Perennial but usually grown as an annual. Covered in winter or overwintered frost-free.
