Capsicum annuum (Paprika) Hamik (Yummy Orange)

Capsicum annuum (Paprika) Hamik (Yummy Orange)

Hamik, a variety originally from the Czech Republic, achieved real fame via American routes.

An excellent small-fruited, very rich orange snack pepper.

On plants around 60 cm high, Hamik bears plenty of elongated fruits that are only 5 cm in size and are exceptionally sweet and almost seedless.

An ideal snack pepper for snacking. The fruits turn from light green to bright orange.

This variety, which comes from the Czech Republic, is also particularly popular in the USA and Great Britain, where it is traded under the name Yummy Orange. This variety is highly praised in the relevant English-speaking garden forums.

Sowing from February to March at 22-24 °C, planting out from mid-May at a distance of 40 x 60 cm. Harvest from mid-August.

Always keep evenly moist, but not too wet. Fertilize regularly and use humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil. Peppers need warmth. Best location: full sun facing south or in a foil greenhouse.

Peppers are sensitive to frost.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
