Capsicum annuum (Peperoni) Lombardo

Mild pepperoni type with fruits 12 – 15 cm long and 2 – 3 cm thick.

The pods, which are initially light green, ripen to red and taste mild and aromatic.

Can be eaten raw in salads, prepared as a vegetable or pickled and contains a lot of vitamin C.

Thrives both outdoors and in the greenhouse.

Peppers need warmth. Best location: full sun facing south or in a foil greenhouse.

Always keep evenly moist, but not too wet. Fertilize regularly and use humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil. 

Sowing takes place from the beginning of January to the beginning of March at 20-25 ° C with warm pre-culture indoors. Plant in the greenhouse or outdoors from mid-May at a distance of 50 x 50 cm. Depending on the cultivation method, the harvest takes place from the end of June.

Peppers are sensitive to frost.

Height about 60 cm outdoors, higher in the greenhouse.

 

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
