Beautiful, flat nutmeg, slightly speckled.

Chirimen is very attractive with its flat, round shape and speckles. When fully ripe it is pretty terracotta colored and weighs around 1-3 kg.

The pulp is ideal for the kitchen and, like most C. moschata, it stores particularly well.

Ripening time: 110 days.

Trailing behavior: moderate.

Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.

Optimum germination at 24-30^o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the trailing behavior.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
