Cucurbita moschata Phoenix F1
Similar to Fairy F1, green with yellow stripes. Phoenix fruits are slightly larger, around 2.5 kg.
The variety sets early and in abundance, making it an excellent pumpkin that also stores well.
Ripening time: 105 days.
Moderate trailing behavior.
Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.
Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the trailing behavior.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
