Cucurbita moschata Trombolino de Albenga
Snake-shaped, very productive musk, terracotta colored.
Trombolino fruits have a very unusual shape, are decorative and particularly suitable for painting.
As edible pumpkins, they are rather modest for a moschata. Fruits change color from light green to light brown and weigh about 3-7 kg.
Ripening time: 110 days.
Moderate trailing behavior.
Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.
Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the trailing behavior.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
