Centaurea macrocephala

The Yellow Cornflower produces yellow flowers that can be used as cut flowers and dried flowers. High ornamental value.

Centaurea macrophala sometimes needs some extra support during flowering. The plant attracts bees and butterflies.

The Yellow Cornflower loses its leaves in winter, but is very hardy.

Centaurea macrocephala likes a spot in the sun or partial shade and requires a slightly moist soil and makes few demands on the soil type.
