Storable butternut with dark flesh.

Tosca F1 is the first hybrid variant of the dark butternut, which changes color from dark green to ocher. The dark types have significantly richer flesh than the light types.

Tosca impresses with its good growth and fruit setting. The decisive advantage, however, is the good storage properties of the fruits; they can be stored for up to 5 months without loss of quality. The fruits weigh around 2-2.5 kg.

Tosca is an excellent pumpkin for kitchen use.

Ripening time: 110 days.

Tosca F1 vines moderately.

Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.

Optimum germination at 24-30^o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

For Tosca F1 we recommend 1-2 square meters per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
