Kentucky Field is the preferred moschata industrial pumpkin in the USA, 8-15 kg, excellent edible pumpkin, but the fruits are quite massive and not something for the average family. But they store quite well.

We recommend pre-cultivation and planting.

Kentucky Field vines strongly.

Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.

Optimum germination at 24-30^o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the vining behavior.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
