A real mini pumpkin that weighs only 500 gr.

This extraordinary novelty from Japanese breeding completely contradicts the usual expectations of a giant pumpkin. The very pretty fruits only weigh around 400 – 600 g and are a highlight not only in decoration.

The fruits are ideal for the kitchen.  Whole and stuffed, they meet all the expectations of a gourmet as an appetizer.

Ripening time: 90 days.

Shokichi Shiro Red F1 vines moderately.

Cucurbiuta maxima are usually robust and make excellent food.  Variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.

Pre-cultivation and planting with sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.

Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

For Shokichi Shiro Red F1 we ​​recommend 2 square meters per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
