Purple broccoli with a long harvest window.

A tried and tested and robust sprouting broccoli. Forms only a very small terminal inflorescence about 10 cm in diameter.

The plant produces a lot of side shoots with small inflorescences that can be harvested continuously. This results in a long harvest window.

Grows best in late summer/autumn with harvest starting in October, long harvest window.

Pruning (trimming) the main shoot produces more lateral inflorescences, which are in need of nutrients, like all types of cabbage.

Sowing takes place from the beginning of July with pre-cultivation, about 4 weeks after sowing, planting outdoors at a distance of 40 x 50 cm, direct sowing is easily possible.

Stem broccoli is one of the heavy eaters that needs to be supplied with sufficient nutrients.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
