Raphanus sativus (Radish) Zlata
Raphanus sativus (Radish) Zlata
Unusually colored yellow radish. Zlata means goldyellow in Croatian.
Zlata is an unusually colored radish that is best suited for spring and fall cultivation. Zlata is less suitable for midsummer. Even when overripe, Zlata doesn’t get furry and doesn’t tend to shoot. You can buy red radishes everywhere, but you have to grow yellow radishes yourself.
Sowing is carried out outdoors and in the greenhouse from the end of February to the beginning of September. Direct sowing in rows, 20 cm apart, 3 cm thin in the row. The harvest takes place from May to October about 30-35 days after sowing.
If you sow seeds every 3 weeks, you will always have fresh radishes.
Radishes should always be well watered and not harvested overripe and should never be left dry as this leads to spiciness and woodiness.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 100 seeds per gram.
