Phaseolus vulgaris (Green bean) Mascotte
A compact, dark green bean with excellent flavor.
The plants only grow to a height of 40-45 cm and are well suited for pots. The flowers are already decorative, the beans, harvested in the best quality at around 12-14 cm, stand above the foliage for easy harvesting.
Bean awarded the AAS Medal in America , resistant to many things, e.g. against bean mosaic virus and fat spot disease.
Pre-culture in pots indoors is possible from mid-April to prevent bean fly infestation. The seeds are sown directly outdoors from May to July. Row sowing, in the row 8-10 cm, between the rows 40 cm or as a dibbling seed at a distance of 40 x 30 cm with 4-5 grains. Harvest period: From July to October.
Fertilization generally not required. Avoid waterlogging and damp tillage. Later piling up is recommended.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
