Phaseolus vulgaris (Green bean) Crockett

Phaseolus vulgaris (Green bean) Crockett

A dark green, very fine fillet bean with an outstanding taste.

The beans are about 12 cm long and are threadless. The plants start early but continue to produce new beans until October.

Awarded Bean of the Year in France, Crockett has a variety of resistances, including bean mosaic virus, bean rust and fat spot.

Pre-culture in pots indoors is possible from mid-April to prevent bean fly infestation. The seeds are sown directly outdoors from May to July. Row sowing, in the row 8-10 cm, between the rows 40 cm or as a dibbling seed at a distance of 40 x 30 cm with 4-5 grains. Harvest period: From July to October.

Fertilization generally not required. Avoid waterlogging and damp tillage. Later piling up is recommended.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
