Beta vulgaris (Beetroot) Avalanche

Beta vulgaris (Beetroot) Avalanche

Fine and delicate white beetroot.

Who says that beetroot always has to be red? Avalanche is an interesting change in the garden and on the plate and can be cultivated and prepared in the same way as the red varieties.

The white beets can also be eaten raw when young and are finer and sweeter in taste than the red varieties.

Beetroot can be grown in sets and needs well-cared-for garden soil that should not be freshly fertilized and consistent moisture.

Beetroot must be sown directly, it does not tolerate transplanting. Sowing takes place from April to July in the open field, sow thinly in rows, for beets at a distance of 25-40 cm and in the row about 10 cm or separate, as leaf lettuce 15-20 cm and in the row continuously at a distance of 10 cm, after germination separate to a single seedling. The beet is harvested about 60 to 70 days after sowing.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
