Beta vulgaris (Beetroot) Bulls Blood
Beta vulgaris (Beetroot) Bulls Blood
Round, high-yielding beetroot.
An old traditional variety with typical dark red beets. What is special about this variety is the purple foliage, which is also very popular as a leaf lettuce and enriches the taste and color of mixed leaf lettuces.
The beets of this variety can be stored quite well. Beetroot can be grown in sets and needs well-cared-for garden soil that should not be freshly fertilized and consistent moisture.
Beetroot must be sown directly, it does not tolerate transplanting. Â Sowing takes place from April to July in the open field, sow thinly in rows, for beets at a distance of 25-40 cm and in the row about 10 cm or separate, as leaf lettuce 15-20 cm and in the row continuously at a distance of 10 cm, after germination separate to a single seedling. The beetroot as leaf lettuce is harvested 35 days after sowing, and as a beet 55 to 60 days after sowing.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 80 seeds per gram.
