Who says that beetroot always has to be red? Burpees Golden is an interesting change in the garden and on the plate. Burpees Golden is no different to other beetroot varieties when it comes to cultivation. A breed from the heyday of the American breeder who was once a world leader with many excellent breeds.
Beetroot must be sown directly, it does not tolerate transplanting. Â Sowing takes place from April to July in the open field, sow thinly in rows, for beets at a distance of 25-40 cm and in the row about 10 cm or separate, as leaf lettuce 15-20 cm and in the row continuously at a distance of 10 cm, after germination separate to a single seedling. The beet is harvested about 60 to 70 days after sowing.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
