Beautifully marked speciality from Italy.

A traditional Italian variety with beautiful, beets that look very decorative when cut open with their white rings. The flesh of Tonda di Chioggia is quite sweet. The beets have an exceptionally long shelf life.

Beetroot must be sown directly, it does not tolerate transplanting.  Sowing takes place from April to July in the open field, sow thinly in rows, for beets at a distance of 25-40 cm and in the row about 10 cm or separate, as leaf lettuce 15-20 cm and in the row continuously at a distance of 10 cm, after germination separate to a single seedling. The beet is harvested about 60 to 70 days after sowing.
