Daucus carota (Carrot) Chamare
Daucus carota (Carrot) Chamare
Medium early speciality – juice carrot.
Chamare is a medium early variety in the thick cylindrical Chantenay type. The carrots, which are around 12-15 cm long, are extremely juicy and suitable for both fresh consumption and for carrot juice production. It takes around 135 days from sowing to harvest. Strong and healthy foliage characterize this carrot. Its shelf life is quite good.
Sow directly outdoors, sowing depth 0.5 cm. Row spacing: 30-40 cm, in the row 3-4 cm. To protect against carrot flies, choose open, windy locations or cover with nets, no fresh fertilization. Carrots love sunny locations and light, permeable, nutrient-rich soils. Harvest period: end of June to September.
Only grow carrots in the same place every 6 years. Grows well with corn, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and potatoes.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 1.000 seeds per gram.
