Cucurbita pepo (Zucchini) Caserta

Striped Italian specialty.

Originally from Italy, Caserta is now a zucchini specialty popular around the world. The elongated fruits are striped green. A delicacy is harvested up to a length of around 15 cm.

This variety thrives in warm, well-drained soil, pre-cultivation and planting with sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May. The ripening time is approximately 50 days. This variety does not climb and grows like a bush. Zucchini should be harvested very young, ideally when or shortly after flowering. This variety can be harvested continuously.

For zucchini we recommend 1 square meter per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
