Salvia hispanica (Chia) BIO

Salvia hispanica (Chia) BIO

Chia is well-known for its tiny, nutrient-rich seeds that have been cultivated and used as a food source since ancient times, particularly by the Aztecs.

Chia produces small, tubular flowers that are usually blue or purple. These flowers are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.

Chia thrives in full sun, requiring plenty of sunlight to grow well and produce seeds. Typically grown in warm, dry climates and is sensitive to frost. The plant is easy to grow and does not require special handling. The seeds are easily harvested once the flowers dry and can be stored for long periods.

Height: 80 cm.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
