Briza maxima

Briza maxima

Commonly known as greater quaking grass or large quaking grass, is an ornamental grass that is prized for its delicate, pendulous seed heads that tremble and “quake” in the wind, giving it a charming, graceful appearance.

The most striking feature of Briza maxima is its dangling, heart-shaped seed heads, which resemble little lanterns or flattened bells.

The ornamental seed heads are frequently used in both fresh and dried flower arrangements due to their unique shape and texture. When dried, they retain their golden color and are often used in crafting or decorative arrangements.
