Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis (Pak Choi) Cardinal F1

Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis (Pak Choi) Cardinal F1

Red Pak Choi for the small head crop and Baby Leaf.

Pak Choi is a popular type of cabbage in Asian cuisine. Cardinal F1 is a red variety that is ideal for harvesting whole smaller heads. Harvesting the young leaves as baby leaves is also popular. This can be carried out continuously.

Sowing takes place from April to June with pre-cultivation at 16 to 20 ° C, then planting outdoors. Direct sowing possible from the end of May to the beginning of July. The planting distance is approx. 25-30 x 35 cm and as baby 20 x 20 cm. The harvest takes place around 60 days after sowing.

The culture of pak choi is similar to that of brassicas, but pak choi does not tolerate any frost, so it should only be planted after the last frosts and harvested before the first autumn frosts.
