Brassica rapa var. nipposinica (Asia Salad) Mizuna
Brassica rapa var. nipposinica (Asia Salad) Mizuna
For mixed salads and wok dishes.
This variety, which belongs to the cabbage family, is a popular, mild addition to mixed salads or wok dishes. The rosettes, which are similar to lettuces, can be harvested at practically any stage. A first harvest usually takes place after 4 weeks. The plants can be harvested multiple times.
The seeds are sown directly from February in the cold frame, and thinly in rows outdoors from the end of March to the beginning of September. Between rows 10-15 cm. The optimal germination temperature is between 15 and 20 ° C. Harvesting takes place approximately 4 weeks after sowing, continuously, or multiple times if you protect the plant rosette.
Our tip: young leaves are great in salads, the older and stronger ones for wok dishes or for steaming.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 500 seeds per gram.
