Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis (Pak Choi) Taisai BIO
Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis (Pak Choi) Taisai BIO
Pak Choi for Asian cuisine.
Pak Choi is a popular type of cabbage in Asian cuisine. Taisai grows quickly and forms loose rosettes of fleshy leaves on thick, white ribs. Perfect for steaming, but also for casseroles or raw as a salad.
Sowing takes place from April to June with pre-cultivation at 16 to 20 ° C, then planting outdoors. Direct sowing possible from the end of May to the beginning of July. The planting distance is approx. 25-30 x 35 cm. The harvest takes place around 8 weeks after sowing.
The culture of pak choi is similar to that of brassicas, but pak choi does not tolerate any frost, so it should only be planted after the last frosts and harvested before the first autumn frosts.
