Allium cepa (Spring Onion) Apache

Red leek and pearl onion.

Apache can be harvested early as a spring onion or as a pearl or small onion if you let it grow. Spring onions are sown a little more densely and harvested around 6-8 weeks after sowing. To harvest as pearl or table onions, they are separated to around 5 cm. Apache can be used as a spring onion with leaves and the red color gives your dishes that certain something.

Sowing: Direct sow thinly in rows from the beginning of March to the end of June. Depending on the sowing date, the harvest takes place from the beginning of June to October.

 

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
