Eryngium planum

Commonly known as blue eryngo or flat sea holly, is a herbaceous perennial valued for its unique architectural appeal. It produces silvery-blue, upright, and branched stems topped with small, spiny, egg-shaped, blue flowerheads surrounded by narrow bracts.

Its flowers appear in mid-summer through early autumn, adding striking color and texture to gardens.

This drought-tolerant plant thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, making it suitable for borders, cottage gardens, and rock gardens.

Known for attracting pollinators, including bees and butterflies, enhancing its ecological value. Additionally, its blooms are excellent for use in cut and dried flower arrangements due to their long-lasting nature
