Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Ananas Noire BIO

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Ananas Noire BIO

A dark, colorful selection of the famous Ananas variety, selected in Belgium.

The fruits, which weigh around 200 grams, are reddish-brown on the outside and multi-colored on the inside.

The fruits should be harvested before they are fully ripe, then they have their best aroma. Thrives best in sheltered cultivation and in very warm locations.

For this variety we recommend protected cultivation under foil or in a greenhouse. Plant height approx. 2 m, very vigorous, requires staking.

Sow at 20-25° C from February to the end of March, then pre-cultivate from February to April, plant outdoors after the last frost. The harvest takes place from the end of July to September.

Tomatoes love sunny and wind-protected locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich.

Tomato plants have high water needs. Never water the plants with tap-cold water; the water should at least be at room temperature. Always ensure that the leaves remain dry so that tomato rot has less chance.
