Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Black Krim

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Black Krim

Sweet and aromatic beef tomato specialt.

Black Krim is a sweet, aromatic country variety named after the Crimean peninsula. This traditional variety has been cultivated there for decades.

The fruits are slightly flat, about 10-12 cm large, dark red and have green-black shoulders.

Black Krim thrives best in protected cultivation or in a glasshouse.

Sow at 20-25° C from February to the end of March, then pre-cultivate from February to April, plant outdoors after the last frost. The harvest takes place from the end of July to September.

Tomatoes love sunny and wind-protected locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich.

Tomato plants have high water needs. Never water the plants with tap-cold water. The water should at least be at room temperature. Always ensure that the leaves remain dry so that tomato rot has less chance.
