Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Mountain Merit PhR F1

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Mountain Merit PhR F1

Mountain Merit F1 is a beef tomato with high resistance to the dreaded late blight. PhR = Phytophtora Resistant.

The red, typical beef tomatoes weigh around 200 grams and have a good taste.

Mountain Merit also has resistance to Fusarium, nematodes and viral diseases.

These characteristics make Mountain Merit F1 ideal for outdoor cultivation.

Sow at 20-25° C from February to the end of March, then pre-cultivate from February to April, plant outdoors after the last frost. The harvest takes place from the end of July to October.

Tomatoes love sunny and wind-protected locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich.

Tomato plants have high water needs. Never water the plants with tap-cold water. The water should at least be at room temperature. Always ensure that the leaves remain dry so that tomato rot has less chance.
