Allium fistulosum (Bunching Onion) Cosmo Winterhecke BIO

Perennial seasoning plant for the kitchen garden.

At Winterhecke, the aromatic chives are particularly popular as vitamin-rich food in early spring and over the summer. The green-whitish flower balls are also edible. The plant forms regular sticks that are divided every 2 – 3 years. Winter hedge onions can also be grown as annual bunching onions. No bulb formation, only slight thickening. Height approx. 50 cm. Fast growing, hardy.

Sowing is carried out as direct sowing outdoors from the end of March to August as row sowing, 5 cm in the row between 20-25 cm in the rows, singly if necessary. Harvesting takes place continuously from April to October.

 

Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 300 seeds per gram.
