Arava F1 is a Galia melon with white to slightly greenish flesh that has proven itself over many years and under many growing conditions.

The meat is very aromatic and sweet. Arava is therefore considered the first choice for a Galia melon.

Galia melons are a cross between the Honeydew and Cantaloupe groups.

Arava also impresses under organic cultivation conditions and is resistant to powdery mildew.

Fully ripe fruits are yellow and fall from the plant, making them very easy to recognize.

Melons grow moderately and require around 1-2 square meters per plant.

Melons enjoy a mulching film.

In a nice and warm summer, the pulp contains more sugar than in a cold summer.

The seeds are sown indoors from the beginning of April at 24-28 ° C directly with 1-2 seeds in the small pot (do not keep the pots too moist) or from mid-May outdoors in a warm location. The harvest takes place in warm locations from mid-July.
