Beta vulgaris (Chard) Rhubarb Chard

Beta vulgaris (Chard) Rhubarb Chard

Robust, red-stemmed chard.

Fine, red-stemmed chard. The stems remain red even after cooking. The leaves, harvested young, are very decorative as a garnish in salads. Chard can be harvested several times, but 2/3 of the leaves should always remain. Can be used as both leaf and stem chard.

Sowing takes place from the beginning of July as direct sowing outdoors, placing 2-3 seeds at a distance of 30 x 40 cm. Pre-cultivation indoors and planting are also possible. Harvest period: approx. 8-10 weeks after sowing.

Chard needs a good supply of nutrients.
