Annual herb with high ornamental value.
Only the leaves before flowering are used as a spice. These either fresh or frozen. They are chopped into small pieces for fresh leaf and cucumber salads, as a topping for bread or for sauces. Pretty flowers and excellent bee pasture. Annual plant.
Sowing: April to July as direct sowing outdoors, Place 2-3 seeds per seed spot at a distance of 25 x 30 cm. Germination time is approx. 15 to 25 days at 10 to 20 °C. Harvest time: continuously from the end of May to October.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 50 seeds per gram.
