Brassica juncea var. cernua (Asia Salad) Wasabina
Brassica juncea var. cernua (Asia Salad) Wasabina
For mixed salads and wok dishes.
Wasabina is an Asian salad specialty with a special taste experience. Slightly sweet and spicy at the same time. The leaves, which are formed like lettuces, can be harvested at practically any stage. A first harvest usually takes place after 4 weeks. The plants can be harvested several times.
The seeds are sown directly from February in the cold frame, and thinly in rows outdoors from the end of March to the beginning of September. Between rows 10-15 cm. The optimal germination temperature is between 15 and 20 ° C. Harvesting takes place approximately 4 weeks after sowing, continuously, or multiple times if you protect the plant rosette.
Our tip: young leaves are great in salads, the older and stronger ones for wok dishes or for steaming.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed in grams.
Approximately 500 seeds per gram.
