Brassica oleracea (Cauliflower) Verde di Macerata

Brassica oleracea (Cauliflower) Verde di Macerata

Green colored, tasty heads.

Cauliflower with attractive, bright green, densely filled heads weighing around 1 kg. The attractive green color remains even when cooked.

A specialty with medium early ripening, it takes around 100 days from sowing to harvest. Subsequent sets are possible and common for a longer harvest. Like all cabbage plants, cauliflower loves nutrient-rich, well-drained soil without waterlogging.

Sowing takes place from the beginning of March to the end of June with pre-cultivation, about 4 weeks after sowing, planting outdoors at a distance of 60 x 50 cm, direct sowing is easily possible.

If the culture is good, the harvest takes place around 100 days after sowing.

Cauliflower is one of the heavy eaters that needs to be supplied with sufficient nutrients.
