Brassica oleracea (Collard) Midnight Sun

Brassica oleracea (Collard) Midnight Sun

A beautiful cabbage variant, the taste is not very reminiscent of cabbage, fine, slightly sweet.

The plants do not grow tall like kale, but remain low, but are cultivated and prepared in a similar way to kale.

Collard greens should not be fertilized as heavily as other types of cabbage. Quite frost-resistant, individual leaves are harvested and briefly steamed or boiled.

Sowing takes place from May to mid-July with pre-cultivation, planting outdoors from June to early August. Planting distance approx. 50 x 40 cm. Plant outdoors from June to early August.

The harvest takes place from October to February.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
