Brassica oleracea (Curly kale) Scarlet

Brassica oleracea (Curly kale) Scarlet

Decorative, red curly kale, frost-resistant.

A decorative vegetable, first pretty, then delicious. Typically curled leaves, dark green and streaked with red in summer. In autumn, this variety turns a bright red when the temperatures are cooler. Scarlet is resilient and will provide you with fresh winter vegetables throughout the entire harvest season.

Sowing takes place from April to June in the seedbed or in the seed box with pricking, planting outdoors in June to July at a distance of 45 x 40 cm. The harvest takes place from October to January.

Kale is one of the heavy eaters that needs to be adequately supplied with nutrients.
