Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis (Pak Choi) Joi Choi F1

Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis (Pak Choi) Joi Choi F1

High-yielding pak choy with white stems.

Pak Choi is a popular type of cabbage in Asian cuisine. Joi Choi F1 is a reliable strain that is suitable for both growing small baby heads and harvesting normal sized heads. White ribs contrast well with the dark green leaves.

Sowing takes place from April to June with pre-cultivation at 16 to 20 ° C, then planting outdoors. Direct sowing possible from the end of May to the beginning of July. The planting distance is approx. 25-30 x 35 cm and as baby 20 x 20 cm. The harvest takes place around 60 days after sowing.

The culture of pak choi is similar to that of brassicas, but pak choi does not tolerate any frost, so it should only be planted after the last frosts and harvested before the first autumn frosts.
