Capsicum annuum (Chili) Jalapeno

Jalapeno bears numerous fruits that are approximately 7 cm long and up to 3 cm thick with a rounded tip.

The fruits ripen from dark green to bright red and impress with their pleasantly fruity spiciness. Level of spiciness 2.5 to 4.

Peppers need warmth. Best location: full sun facing south or in a foil greenhouse.

Always keep evenly moist, but not too wet. Fertilize regularly and use humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil. 

Sowing takes place from the beginning of January to the beginning of March at 20-25 ° C with warm pre-culture indoors. Plant in the greenhouse or outdoors from mid-May at a distance of 50 x 50 cm. Depending on the cultivation method, the harvest takes place from the end of June.

Peppers are sensitive to frost.

Height about 60-80 cm outdoors, higher in the greenhouse.

 

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
