Capsicum annuum (Peperoni) Redhorn

High-yielding, early red and mild pepper.

Early, rich, mildly sweet specialty in the Lombardo type, ideal for filling or pickling. Also delicious fresh, dark red fruits of about 15 cm without heat and with a sweet taste.

Medium height growth, can be cultivated both outdoors and in the greenhouse. Also grows well in a 15 liter container.

Peppers need warmth. Best location: full sun facing south or in a foil greenhouse.

Always keep evenly moist, but not too wet. Fertilize regularly and use humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil. 

Sowing takes place from the beginning of January to the beginning of March at 20-25 ° C with warm pre-culture indoors. Plant in the greenhouse or outdoors from mid-May at a distance of 50 x 50 cm. Depending on the cultivation method, the harvest takes place from the end of June.

Peppers are sensitive to frost.

Height about 50 cm outdoors, higher in the greenhouse.

 

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
