Commonly known as spider flower or spider plant, is an annual flowering plant  known for its distinctive appearance and attractive flowers.

The flowers are the most striking feature of Cleome hassleriana. They are clustered at the top of tall, slender stems and resemble spider legs.

They prefer full sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. Well-drained soil is ideal for cleomes, though they are somewhat tolerant of different soil types. They are relatively low-maintenance plants but benefit from regular watering, especially in dry conditions.
