Cucumis sativus (Cucumber) Nagai

Cucumis sativus (Cucumber) Nagai

A very robust outdoor cucumber with a really great cucumber taste of Japanese origin.

Vigorous, disease-tolerant and quite productive, this variety produces dark green, slender fruits that are spiked. The fruits are visually similar to the Suyo Long variety, but taste more cucumbery. The cucumbers are about 30 cm long, but depending on the culture they can grow up to 60 cm long. When the harvest is normally ripe, they do not need to be peeled; you simply wipe off the spines and cut them into slices. One of the best cucumbers in terms of taste.

Sow under glass from March to May at 22-25 ° C. Plant from mid-May at a distance of 120 x 30 cm. Direct sowing outdoors possible from May. Planting/sowing distance approx. 120 x 30 cm, place 2-3 seeds per spot. The harvest takes place continuously from June to October.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
