Cucumis sativus (Gherkin) Charlotte F1

Cucumis sativus (Gherkin) Charlotte F1

Extra-early, very high-yielding multi-fruit type.

Charlotte F1 is a real highlight when it comes to pickling cucumbers, best compared to the Excelsior F1 variety, Charlotte F1 forms several cucumbers in one leaf axil. Due to their compact growth, the plants are very easy to harvest. Charlotte F1 is predominantly female-flowering and free of bitter substances. Charlotte F1 is multi-resistant against, among other things, real and downy mildew, as well as viruses and cucumber scabies.

Sowing with pre-culture and planting or as direct sowing with 2-3 grains, planting from mid-May at a distance of 150 x 30 cm. The harvest takes place continuously from around July to October.

Pickling cucumbers are gratefull to a good and balanced supply of nutrients as well as regular watering in dry times assuring a continuous and rich harvest.

Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
