Cucurbita maxima Golden Nugget
Red, round, small and productive.
Beautiful variety with a diameter of 10-12 cm and fruits from 200 g upwards, good pumpkin.
When cultivated with lean crops, smaller fruits are popular for decoration because of their attractive reddish color. A real mass bearer due to the bush shape and the formation of up to 15 fruits per plant.
Ripening time: 90 days.
Golden Nugget grows bushy.
This variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.
Pre-cultivation and planting with sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the climbing behavior.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
