Cucurbita maxima Rabea F1

Rabea F1 grows in a compact, bush-shaped form and bears around 3-4 rounded, red fruits weighing around 1.5 kg.

The compact growth enables an excellent harvest with a recommended planting density of around 8 to 10,000 plants per hectare.

The beautifully proportioned fruits have excellent flesh, the skin cooks softly in typical Hokkaido style, i.e. the fruits do not need to be peeled.

Rabea F1 is excellent for the kitchen use.

Ripening time: 90 days.

Rabea F1 grows compact/bushy.

Cucurbiuta maxima are usually robust and make excellent food.  Variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.

Pre-cultivation and planting with sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.

Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

For Rabea F1 we ​​recommend 1-2 square meters per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
