Cucurbita maxima Sunshine F1 BIO
Flat-round, high-yielding Hokkaido hybrid.
Sunshine F1 bears uniform fruits that weigh approx. 1.5, rarely more than 2 kg. When cultivated well, the plants produce an average of 4 fruits. The fruit size also depends on the planting distance.
Sunshine F1 is excellent for use in the kitchen.
Ripening time: 90 days.
Sunshine F1 grows bushy/compact.
Cucurbiuta maxima are usually robust and make excellent food. Variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.
Pre-cultivation and planting with sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.
For Sunshine F1 we recommend 1-2 square meters per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
