Cucurbita moschata Hambra F1

Cucurbita moschata Hambra F1

Handy nutmeg pumpkin with good yields.

Smaller nutmeg pumpkin in typical shape, 2.5 to 3.5 kg, quite uniform in size, good pulp, bears well.

Requires warmth, should definitely be pre-cultivated in Central Europe and requires a sunny location in a good summer, ripening when the color begins to turn into ocher brown, or, as is usual with nutmeg pumpkins, when the white patina appears on the skin.

Nutmeg pumpkins can be harvested at the beginning of ripening in a room with around 20 ° C and ripened within 3 to 5 weeks and will change color to full ripeness without any problems. The quality of the meat also improves here.

Ripening time: 100-110 days.

Hambra F1 is trailing moderately.

Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.

Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

For Hambra F1 we recommend 1-2 square meters per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
