Cucurbita moschata Muscade de Provence
Classic, clearly ribbed, changing color from green to brown.
Muscade de Provence has very massive and good pulp, its weight is about 5-12 kg.
Unfortunately, in the Central European climate, it only achieves its solid, bright, dark ocher color when it has been pre-cultivated and has a warm summer.
Ripening time: 125 days.
Growth behavior lush.
Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.
Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the trailing behavior.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
Supplied as raw (normal) seed.
