High-yielding, large cheese type.

New England Cheddar F1 proved to be a significant, high-yielding improvement over the well-known monovarietal varieties in the trial field.

The uniform, light brown fruits with an average weight of around 7 kg are produced in abundance. The flesh is dark orange and ideal for kitchen use.

Ripening time: 105-110 days.

New England Cheddar F1 is trailing moderately strong.

Cucurbita moschata require a lot of heat and is therefore better to be pre-cultivated. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in cold regions.

Optimum germination at 24-30o C. When sowing stick the pointed side of the seed down or lay them flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place in a brighter and cooler place.

For New England Cheddar F1 we ​​recommend around 3-4 square meters per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, lice, powdery mildew, virus.
